A Message on Last Week’s Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization Decision
Dear NYULFC Patients,
Following last week’s decision by the United States Supreme Court overturning Roe vs. Wade, we understand you may have concerns surrounding how this decision may impact your fertility care. This decision will not impact patients currently receiving fertility care in New York State, or those who hope to do so in the future.
At this time, the Supreme Court ruling has no impact on the day-to-day functions and processes of NYU Langone Fertility Center. This ruling will not impact our ability to provide the full spectrum of high-quality fertility care, including in vitro fertilization. NYULFC patients will continue to maintain complete control over frozen eggs, sperm, and/or embryos, where they go and what is done with them. We will continue to monitor the situation and will alert patients immediately in the event of any relevant changes to New York State law.
We at NYU Langone Fertility Center are committed to helping our patients have healthy babies when they are ready. As part of the Prelude Network, we have strengthened our relationship with RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association to assist with educating and guiding lawmakers in protecting the ability of our patients to obtain high quality assisted reproductive care.
Please contact us with any further questions or concerns, we would be happy to assist you.
