Welcome Dr. Shaw

NYULFC is thrilled to welcome Jacquelyn Shaw, MD. While Dr. Shaw is the most recent addition to our physician team, she is not new to the NYULFC family, having completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at NYU Langone.

Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Shaw is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Langone Fertility Center. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Langone Health where she was the Chief Administrative Resident before completing a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at NYU Langone in New York City. Dr. Shaw earned her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University and her undergraduate degree from NYU Stern Undergraduate School of Business. Dr. Shaw was a senior management consultant prior to pursuing a career in medicine.

Reflecting on the nature of her job, Dr. Shaw says, “By the time we meet our patients, most have already started their journey to fertility - and it hasn't gone as planned. I'm most proud of getting to make the rest of their journey a little better, a little easier, a little brighter. Regardless of the destination, building a meaningful and trusted relationship with patients is most rewarding.”

Dr. Shaw is passionate about advancing the field of reproductive medicine and is actively involved in research with many peer reviewed publications. She also completed additional training in reproductive surgery and is competent in advanced hysteroscopy and minimally invasive robotic surgery.

Dr. Shaw’s clinical areas of expertise and interest include female and male infertility, fertility preservation including egg freezing for medical and elective reasons, recurrent miscarriage, polycystic ovary syndrome, in vitro fertilization, pre-implantation genetic testing, family-building for LGTBQ+ patients, ovulation induction, congenital uterine anomalies, hysteroscopic and minimally invasive surgery, fibroid management, endometriosis and oocyte donation. She is an active member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and infertility (SREI). She is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).

Looking forward in her career, Dr. Shaw is excited and energized by the ever-changing technology and research in the field. She is confident doctors will continue to improve available treatments, and in the process hopes they solve some of the mysteries of “unexplained infertility.”
